Under the new labelling arrangements, the three previous compliance marks (C-Tick, RCM and A-Tick (Australia)) have been consolidated into a single compliance mark—the RCM.

In New Zealand the RCM will indicate a device’s compliance with applicable Radio Spectrum Management’s (RSM) and Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) regulatory arrangements—that is, for radiocommunications and EMC.

The R-NZ is a new label for radio products supplied in the New Zealand market under levels of conformity A1, A2 and A3.

RSM's Compliance Notice and ACMA’s Labelling Notices have been amended to reflect the new labelling arrangements. These notices provide the legal requirements that must be referred to. There are no changes to the testing and record-keeping requirements currently applicable to devices subject to RSM and ACMA arrangements.

A label indicates that the product complies with the applicable requirements.
