Hong Kong Telecommunications Equipment Evaluation and Certification (“HKTEC”) scheme

The use of the label is not a compulsory requirement. If used, the information shown on the label should be identical to the information as specified on the certificate issued for that particular certified equipment.

The labeling of radiocommunications equipment is not compulsory. Some equipment meeting the prescribed technical specifications may not bear the CA label.

 

The maximum penalty for the possession or use of any radiocommunications equipment not meeting prescribed technical specifications is a fine of HK$50,000 and two-year imprisonment.
