CITC Conformity Certificate

The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC or the Commission) is mandated, in accordance with the authority granted to it by its Statutes, to license telecommunications equipment to be used in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This includes undertaking all the necessary procedures to ensure the compliance of the terminal and facilities equipment used in the telecommunications network with the relevant technical specifications.

CITC has prepared the procedures for approving and importing telecommunications and IT equipment as well as the technical specifications that will be used as the technical basis for authorizing such equipment for use in the Kingdom. All parties manufacturing, importing or supplying telecommunications and IT equipment in the Kingdom must comply with the procedures and the technical specifications. 

 

• Customs Clearance Service
  This service enables all importers of ICT equipment in the Kingdom to apply for a Custom clearance permission for restricted ICT equipment. The aim of this service is to facilitate the Custom clearance processes, and accelerate the exchange of data between CITC and Customs.

 

• Device Approval Service
  This service enables all parties either inside or outside the Kingdom to apply  for device approval to determine the extent of device's conformity with the technical specifications issued by CITC.

 

• Certificate of Conformity Service
  This service enables parties  to obtain a certificate of conformity directly for the devices previously approved by CITC and have been verified to be in conformity with the technical specifications issued by CITC.
